From Atami take the JR Ito line to Ito (23 min) and from Ito take the Izu Kyuoko Line to Izukyu Shimoda Station (69 min).<\/p><p>For the more adventurous, there is also an overnight train to\/from Atami. Find our more <a href=\"https:\/\/www.osakastation.com\/the-sunrise-seto-sunrise-izumo-overnight-sleeper-trains-from-osaka-to-tokyo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u3053\u3061\u3089 <\/a><\/p><p>I suggest you use <a title=\"Hyperdia\" href=\"http:\/\/www.hyperdia.com\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Hyperdia<\/a> to check for train schedules, or even better, call the super friendly folks at the JR East English info line. They will be able to help you choose the best departure time. Sometimes leaving later means arriving earlier! The number is:<\/p><p><a href=\"tel:+8150-2016-1603\">050-2016-1603<\/a><\/p><p>(If you are calling from overseas, drop the first zero and add the country code 81)<\/p><p><strong>***<\/strong>Please note, the name of the station you want to get off at is <em>Izukyu Shimoda Station<\/em>. If you use <a title=\"Hyperdia train schedule and fares in Japan \" href=\"http:\/\/www.hyperdia.com\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Hyperdia<\/a> or <a title=\"Jorudan Train Schedules and Fares for Japan \" href=\"http:\/\/www.jorudan.co.jp\/english\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jorudan<\/a> to search for train schedules and fares, you must use &#8220;Izukyu Shimoda&#8221; as your destination point.
